A Lively New Orleans Wedding at The Columns and Christ Church Cathedral

Angele and Mitchell’s wedding weekend in New Orleans was the perfect blend of elegance, intimacy, and high-energy fun. With preparations beginning at the historic Columns Hotel, the couple surrounded themselves with their closest friends and family for two unforgettable days of celebration.

A Weekend of Love in the Heart of New Orleans

The weekend kicked off on Friday with an intimate ceremony at Christ Church Cathedral. The venue’s architecture and ambiance created a reverent and beautiful space for the couple to say their vows. After the ceremony, the celebration moved to Commander’s Palace for an elegant dinner in the Patio Room.

Commander’s was more than just a dinner—it was a moment of reflection and joy. Guests delivered a series of thoughtful and hilarious toasts that brought laughter, happy tears, and heartfelt memories to the evening. It was clear just how deeply loved and celebrated this couple is, and every speech added another layer of meaning to the night.

The Columns Reception: A Party Like No Other

Saturday’s reception was a full-blown celebration at The Columns, and every detail reflected Angele and Mitchell’s unique style. From espresso martinis passed at the entrance to the Kinfolk Brass Band kicking off cocktail hour, the vibe was high-energy and unmistakably New Orleans.

Reception details were thoughtful and bold—from custom koozies and sunglasses to a glam black-and-white photobooth by Boogie Booth. True Value Rentals transformed the courtyard with romantic lighting and staging, and Baes Bakery delivered a stunning wedding cake that was both delicious and beautiful.

After a grand entrance, the couple danced to "Hurricane Winslow" by The Revivalists, shared emotional parent dances, and cut their cake in true celebratory fashion—with espresso martini glasses in hand. As the night went on, guests enjoyed buffet stations, dance floor props, and a vibrant party atmosphere fueled by DJ Yung and his horn players.

A Grand Finale

The night ended with a bang—light-up hats, beads, foam fingers, and celebratory go-cups brought the New Orleans spirit to life. Angele changed into a second look, and the newlyweds exited in a bubble-filled celebration backed by “Celebrate” from The Revivalists.

This was more than just a wedding—it was a full-on New Orleans experience filled with love, music, and unforgettable memories. We were honored to be part of capturing such a one-of-a-kind celebration.
